What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on the next request. It is how a site can tell that two page loads came from the same person — which is what makes staying signed in possible at all.
Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party. Cookies set by another domain embedded in the page are third-party, and are the ones typically used to track people across the web. Tiqstar sets first-party cookies only. The exceptions — payment and Google sign-in — are listed further down, and only appear if you use them.

Strictly necessary Always on
These sign you in and remember the choices you make here. The site cannot work without them, so they cannot be turned off.
They keep you signed in as you move between pages, and they store the cookie choices you make in this panel so you are not asked again. Turning them off would mean you could not sign in or buy a ticket.

Preferences Always on
These remember settings you chose yourself, like your region. They are only used to pick which events to show you.
If you asked for events near you, this also holds the rough location your browser gave us, so we do not have to ask again on every page. None of it is shared with anyone, and none of it is used to build a profile of you. Each of these exists because you asked for it, so there is no switch here — to stop the location one, use "stop using my location" in the region picker, or turn off location for this site in your browser.

Analytics Nothing running

We have no analytics tool on the site today. The switch exists so that if we ever add one, it starts switched off and waits for you — and so this list names it before it is ever set.
Marketing Nothing running
These would show you events like the ones you looked at, and tell us whether an advert actually sold tickets. Nothing is running here yet.

Cookies set by others
We do not set these and they are not covered by the switches above — they belong to the provider, under that provider's own policy, and they only appear on one specific journey. The way to avoid them is not to take that route.

Managing cookies
The quickest route for anything optional is the — reachable from this page and from the footer of every page. Turning a category off there also deletes the cookies already set for it.
Your browser can do the rest. Every one lets you view, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings then Privacy, and a private window discards everything when you close it.
Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in and stop checkout working — that is what "necessary" means here, not a figure of speech. Blocking tq_region only means being asked for your region again next visit. To clear the session cookies without touching anything else, sign out.
Location is separate, and has its own two controls. "Stop using my location" in the region picker deletes the saved position immediately, and your browser's site settings can withdraw the location permission altogether — after which we cannot ask again without you granting it. We never store a position your browser has not given us.
Changes to this policy
This page is generated from the same cookie list that drives the consent panel, so the two cannot disagree. When that list changes in a way you would want to re-decide — a new provider, or an existing one used for something new — we increase the policy revision, and everyone is asked to choose again rather than being carried over on an answer to a different question.
