Ticket types
A ticket type is a thing you sell: a price, a quantity, and rules about who can buy how many. Every event needs at least one.
- Price and how many — the two that matter. How many you make is the real limit on how many people get in.
- When it goes on sale, and when it stops. This is how early-bird pricing works: a cheap type that closes, and a standard type that opens.
- Fewest and most per order — stops one buyer taking the whole lot.
- Who can see it — everyone, or only people you send the link to.
- Whether it can be passed on to someone else.
- Who pays the fees on it — you, or the guest.
Patterns that work
- Early bird, then standard, then door price. Three ticket types with their dates set in advance, so nothing needs switching on the night.
- Tables and groups. One ticket type sold in blocks, with a minimum per order so nobody can split it.
- A hidden ticket for partners. It is not listed on the page â it only sells through a link you send.
- A free ticket alongside your paid ones. It costs you nothing, and you still get a scannable ticket and a headcount.
Seated and sectioned venues
For a venue with a real layout you can define sections and attach ticket types to them, so a buyer is choosing a place as well as a price. Sections can be saved as a venue template and reused for the next event in the same room.
Where individual seats are mapped, buyers select and briefly hold specific seats during checkout, and the hold releases if they do not complete.
When a ticket type sells out
It turns into a waiting list on its own. If you add more tickets, or someone gets a refund, we offer the ticket to the next person in line and give them a short window to take it before it moves on.
A waiting list is a better result than making more tickets than you can fill. It shows real demand, and it gives you a warm list of people for the next event.
