Getting paid out

How the money gets from a ticket sale into your bank account.

Every sale goes into your balance

When someone buys a ticket, the money lands in your Tiqstar balance with the fees already taken off. Your balance is what you have earned so far and not yet moved to your bank.

Every line is listed separately, so if you see a number you do not recognise you can click through to the exact order it came from.

Moving money to your bank

Add the account you want to be paid into — a bank account, or mobile money where your country supports it — then withdraw whatever is available. Tiqstar does not charge you anything to do this.

Check the account number twice before you save it. If money goes to the wrong real account, nobody can pull it back.

Why some money is not available yet

Some of your balance can be held back for a while. There are four reasons, and the dashboard always tells you which one applies.

  • We have not verified you yet. Before your first withdrawal we need to confirm who you are, or who your business is.
  • Someone has asked for a refund. We keep back enough to pay it if you agree to it.
  • A buyer has disputed a payment with their bank. That money stays put until the bank decides.
  • The event has not happened yet. In some countries, and for some events, we hold the money until after the date.

Keeping your records

Every sale, fee, refund and withdrawal is listed in your dashboard, and you can download the lot as a spreadsheet.

Keep it. This is what your accountant will ask for at tax time. We hold on to your financial records even if you close your account later.
