Two fees, no others
A paid ticket carries a 7% Tiqstar platform fee, plus the payment processor's fee for your market. There is no subscription, no listing fee, no fee to publish, and no payout fee. Free tickets carry nothing at all.
The processor fee varies by country — the current rate for every market is listed on the pricing page.
Who pays: you or the guest
For each fee you pick one of two things. Absorb it, and the fee comes out of what you receive — the guest pays exactly the price on the ticket. Pass it on, and it is added at checkout on top of the price. You can choose differently for each of the two fees.
You can set this in three places, and the most specific one wins: on a single ticket type, on a whole event, or as the default for your account. That is how you absorb the fee on a cheap early-bird ticket and pass it on for everything else.
Choosing between them
- Absorbing gives a clean headline price, which reads better in a flyer and converts better at the last step. It costs you the fee.
- Passing on protects your margin exactly, but the number at checkout is higher than the one people came for.
- Whichever you pick, the guest sees the full breakdown before paying — neither option hides anything.
A worked example
On a ₦10,000 ticket in Nigeria: the platform fee is ₦700 and processing is ₦250 (1.5% + ₦100.00 per order). Absorb both and you receive ₦9,050. Pass both on and the guest pays ₦10,950.
